In her latest work Eugenea pays a visit to New Zealand's oldest suburb, Parnell established in 1841. Rain splashes the pavements and flower-boxes of the historic Parnell Village as pedestrians shelter under umbrellas. The red telephone box and ornate street lamps featured in the work were introduced to The Village in the 1970's by its founder Les Harvey - the King of Parnell. Choosing a limited palette of silvery-greys with highlights of white Eugenea captures her subject with adept, impressionistic brush strokes.
