$5,200 Raised for Breast Cancer Tue, 07 Jul 2009

International Art Centre are annual supporters of In the Pink fund raiser in aid of the Breast Cancer Foundation.

This year our resident artist Simon Williams donated a blank canvas to the event. At the charity auction it fetched $5,200 - 100% of which goes to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation

The event raised more than $120,000 for the Zealand Breast Cancer Foundations Special Projects Fund. The first goal of this fund is to provide a new Full Field Digital mammography machine for Breast Screen at Counties Manual DHB which screens more than 3,000 women for breast cancer each year.

Guests were treated to a night of spectacular fashion from New Zealand's leading designers including Adrienne Winkelmann, Carlson, Cybèle, Helen Cherry, Liz Mitchell, Rebecca Taylor, World and Zambesi.

International Art Centre has supported the event since it's introduction in 1999. We are now making plans for the 2010 event.
