Marty Vreede was recently awarded the 2010 Prime Minister's Supreme Award for Sustained Tertiary Excellence. In 1990 he founded the Print Workshop at UCOL Whanganui Quay School for the Arts and won a Fullbright scholarship in 2009. Vreede also founded the New Zealand Print Council for the education of New Zealand print makers to include annual exhibitions and the like.
