Cruising around the Inland Sea we went to stay at Miyajima. It was raining. Somehow the delicate beauty of Japan, of pine trees and waterfall, temple and shrine, are enhanced by the softening rain. We climbed through wooded valleys where the lacquered bridges and waterfallls loomed through the mist.
