Bill Sutton collection since 1963

I purchased the Moffitt landscape in 1963, a cash sale directly from Trevor Moffitt, standing in the road outside Knox College in Dunedin. This was during my first year studying at the University of Otago so I can be confident of the date. It was part of a one-man exhibition in Dunedin of (from memory) mostly or entirely South Canterbury landscapes. A black and white photo of the painting had been published in the Otago Daily Times, alerting me to the exhibition, which I promptly visited to make my choice.
