One of the most buoyant sales of 2017 confirmed the loyal following and strong market support for works by Nelson artist Jane Evans (1946 - 2012). Forty none of the fifty eight works by the artist sold. Top price of the evening was achieved for the keenly contested Toss Woollaston, Tasman Bay at $110,000. Excellent results were seen for the twenty international works on offer. Buyers around the world ensured International Art Centre's position as a key player in the sourcing and selling of international art to a global audience. It was most gratifying to see a collector, who has spent a lifetime supporting artists and art projects, receive such a positive sale response.
