International Art Centre's Important, Early & Rare catalogue closes next week. This is our final auction of 2012 with the next sale scheduled for 27th February 2013, a single owner collection of which details will be announced shortly..
Another wonderful collection will be offered including fine works by Charles F Goldie, Grahame Sydney, Don Binney, Peter Siddell, Felix Kelly, Charles Blomfield, J B C Hoyte to name a few. Yesterday two never before seen large canvasas by James Fraser Scott were consigned, every day we seem unearth something new so with a couple of weeks to go we are assured of a fine catalogue indeed.
One of the other highlights of this large offering will be the Carey's Bay Hotel Collection of Ralph Hotere paintings and graphics. One of the works titled 'Vive Aramoana' fetched a record for a living artist when last sold at auction in 2001. The works were housed in the historic Dunedin pub for nearly a decade but the recent sale of the Hotel has seen the works moved to Auckland where they will now be sold. More than ten works will be on offer.
